The Ii-Shenron Saga
Chapter
25 - Gokun To The Max
Ii
took a long good stare at the young man standing before
him. He remembered him faintly from the encounter at camp,
but he also remembered he easily disposed of him.
"Don't you remember how I defeated you before with
ease...not even breaking a sweat."
Gokun turned to his left.
"Yeah, I know, but you're missing one thing."
"Oh?"
"While you were stealing the Dragon Balls to gain
power, so did I. I'm not the same Ii, get it?"
Ii eyed the boy again. He had no choice but to fight, but
it never bothered him.
"You sure are stupid." Ii said.
He pointed at a distant landscape.
"We will fight there got it?"
Gokun nodded, and the two flew off.

The
boys and girls found a safe place to watch the battle
from. They decided not to go far, just in case Gokun
needed their help.
"You think he can do it?" Rue asked.
"Lets hope so. With Ii gaining a power up like that,
we'll need a miracle to beat that." Piccolo said.
"Lets hope he is that miracle." Linni finished.
***
Gokun
stood in normal form on a high ledge. Ii did the same and
threatened the boy again. It wasn't long before they began
to fight, but Ii was a little perplex. He remembered that
Gokun could turn into a Super Saiya-jin, but how come he didn't
bother to now?
"Trying to prove you can beat me without
transforming?" Ii asked.
Gokun ignored and delivered a kick, which Ii avoided.
Gokun delivered another one, but Ii avoided that one too.
Ii laughed at Gokun's efforts, and sent a fast punch back at the
boy's face. Gokun evaded it safely. Ii threw another
punch, but it missed him again.
He's faster than he was before...
The battle continued, and none of the two fighters showed
any signs of energy drain. Ii was confused at how Gokun
could fight at this capacity without transforming, or getting
hit. Finally, Ii believed that something "was"
different about Gokun.
The
clouds in the sky began to stir, and lightning began to
strike. Their fantastic powers ripped the sky apart, as
the on lookers watched. Ii kept fighting, and
finally backed Gokun into a cliff side. He threw a punch,
which hit the boy square in the gut.
"You see? You can't beat me." Ii laughed.
Gokun looked up and gave the beast a long stare. He began
to power up and turned into a Super Saiya-jin. Ii flew
back and crossed his arms.
"Its getting serious now isn't it?"
"For you!" Gokun directed at him. He powered up
some more, and flew at Ii at a great speed. Ii watched on,
waiting for the clash. When their powers collided, the sky let
out a huge boom, which made Piccolo and the others look on in disbelief.
"You go Gokun!" Linni cried.
After
some more tough fighting, Ii was forced to power up
himself. Gokun was turning out to be harder than he
anticipated. The fighting continued, and Gokun eventually
revealed to the fiend an ability he learned during his training.
Gokun powered up once again, and turned into Super Saiya-jin
2. This amazed everyone, and the fighting continued once
again. Ii wasn't pleased with what was happening. He
couldn't understand it. Gokun was much stronger now, but
how could he be overpowering him? He absorbed the Dragon
Balls didn't he? He should be invincible.
"This is mad! With the Dragon Balls, I should be the
most powerful in the universe, like I was 100 years ago!"
Gokun laughed.
"Funny, it just so happens that the last time the Balls
were used, it was only 5 or so months ago. They're not at
full power, so you're at a lost Ii-Shenron."
So that's why Ii's lacking power once
again. This angered the beast, and he punched Gokun
away.
I need to get stronger to defeat them, Ii told himself as
he growled at his opponent.
"You think you can still defeat me with those weak moves of
yours?!"
Ii powered up, and gave a sneer.
"Watch closely..."
Gokun stared at Ii as he powered up for a few straight minutes.
When he was complete, Ii smiled in triumph.
"Lets see if you can dodge this..."
Ii let loose a big power wave, which forced Gokun to shield
himself. He looked up at Ii.
"Should I be slightly pleased with that, because I'm
not."
Ii sneered again.
He shot a quick blast of energy at Gokun, and to the boy's
surprise, the beam disappeared into thin air.
"They're gone..." Gokun said.
Then five separate beams appeared from five separate directions,
and made a direct hit into Gokun. Ii laughed, but was soon
put back in his place when Gokun reappeared and shot an energy
wave straight at Ii. The attack left injuries on Ii's
right shoulder, but it didn't bother him.
"You're good." Ii said sarcastically.
The
fighting progressed through the day, impressing everyone
watching; either from Kami's Lookout or the cliff side where the
safe escapees took off too. It kept blowing their mind at
how Gokun had achieved such strength in a short amount of
time. For Kaioshin, he couldn't believe that the ritual
made him that strong, because that's all he did. Vegeta
let them in a little secret.
"Gokun lived a tough life; no family no friends until
now. He had to fight to survive."
Ii
was getting annoyed once again. He was being beaten up by
someone he didn't even know. He at least thought it might
be Gokou or Vegeta because he saw how strong their ancestors
were, but what about this kid?
Gokun could turn into a Super Saiya-jin too, so he must've come
from their linage. Ii took a breather, as did Gokun,
and asked him who his ancestors were. Gokun hated hearing
stuff like this...he didn't know. Not knowing what to
answer, Gokun just said,
"It doesn't matter, all that matters is that I'm here to
kill you once and for all."
The fighting got real intense, and Ii was sweating
bullets. He could feel his power dropping faster than
Gokun's. Something desperate had to be done. With a
successful escape from Gokun, Ii taunted him saying that he
cannot defeat him.
"We'll see." Gokun replied.
Ii smiled.
"You have no idea. You may have learned more skills than
before, but I still have one up my sleeve."
Ii began to power up for a slight second, and out stretched his
arms towards Gokun. The Super Saiya-jin looked on.
He couldn't sense Ii powering up for an attack. What was
he up too?
