Chapter 34 - Dende's Approach

"I'm sick of all this!"
Everyone at Yema's were impatient.  The fight on Earth wasn't going particularly well, until Dende stepped forward.  
"Calm yourselves down.  Its not all over just yet."
"What do you mean?!  Are you mad?  Have you seen what's going on down on Earth?" questioned Elder Kai.
"He's right." Pastri and Hazell told him.
"I telepathed to the Namekseijins about the problems we are faced with, and they have gathered the Dragon Balls.  We can use them to help us."
"The Dragon Balls again?!" Elder Kai yelled, "We don't need them to settle this!"
"Please Elder."
"Oh, okay then.  What are you intending to do with the wishes?"

Dende turned around, and began talking in his mind.

Elder, are we set for the wishes?

Yes we are Dende.  What will be the first wish?

The first wish to be granted will be to restore the Lookout above the Earth.

The Nameks asked Porunga, and the wish was granted.  Dende smiled.

Nion watched on as everyone tried to defeat Ii, but they didn't have much luck.  
I wish I could've done more.  All I do is watch everyone get hurt, or protect me.  Just because I'm a little girl.  
She turned to the resting Kujiita.  He was snoring pretty loud.  Remembering what Vegeta told her about the Saiya-jin race, she stepped forward.  Raised her hands into the sky and began gathering her energy for a blast.  An energy ball appeared over her hands, and then she released it forward.  It shot into the sky at Ii-Shenron, and 18 and the others all saw it.  Ii sent one of his own energy attacks at it, and the attacks collided.  
"Nion, no!" G yelled.
Ii forced his energy, and it began to eat up her energy blast.
"Little girl, why would you fight me?"
"Because you're evil!  Someone has to stop you!" Nion yelled as she struggled to keep up her own.
"Huh?" Ii laughed, "Brave for a pint size Saiya-jin.  I'll kill you now so you don't have to see me kill you're friends."
"I'm not going to let you!" she cried.  Ii's energy was sitting upon her, and now she was pushing on it with her bare hands.  They begun to become scratched, and her feet were pushed underground, yet she wasn't going to give up.
"I'll kill them one by one, painfully and slow.  You're friends and your family..."
Ii forced the energy more upon her, as the others tried to stop him to no avail.  
I can't do it.  He's too strong for me.  Nion thought.  Not being able to hold on anymore, she let go, and the attack enveloped her, sending her flying backwards.  
"Nion!" G called.  
She hit the cliff side, and Ii laughed.  He continued to fight the others.  Nion struggled to open her eyes and looked up.  Ii was still beating everyone up.  Still useless.  Nion wasn't satisfied with that.  
My brother keeps fighting no matter the odds, she told herself.
Nion pulled herself from the cliff side and raised her hands again, gathering power for another blast.  She released it at Ii, and the beast returned the blast. 
"Nion!  Stop it!" they called to her.
Nion continued to push her energy at him, but so did he.  She gathered more of her energy thinking what her brother would do.  Her blue eyes grew furious that seemingly her right eye turned a different colour.  Ii pushed his energy some more, and the little girl was flung backwards.
The other fighters fought some more even if Ii was draining their strength.  
Nion laid on the ground for a little before finding the strength to get up, but she collapsed.  Her energy was gone.  Nion shut her eyes, seeing the battle in the sky as she phased out.  Her worst fear was coming true.  Death was going to befall them all.  In her head, the voice of Ii-Shenron repeated itself.
Brave for a pint size Saiya-jin.  I'll kill you now so you don't have to see me kill you're friends."
"I'll kill them one by one, painfully and slow.  You're friends and your family..."
Family?
Mum!  The faint image of her mother appeared in her mind.  She began to stir, but still couldn't get up.  Being brought into a dream state, the little girl remembered something hidden in the depths of her mind.  Seeing herself as a little baby, she looked up into her mother's face.  She was crying from the loss of her husband a few days ago.
"Nion-chan..." she wept, "Your brother and I just lost your father. I'm so sorry you never had the chance to know him, and I know he feels the same too.  But I tell you this my darling baby.  I will not let you be taken away from me.  Not your brother either.  I cannot stand it if I lost both of you.  I will fight for both of you till the end...end....end.......end....."
With a burst of strength, Nion woke up and breathed heavily.  She then remembered her mother, and thought about what she said fighting for her and Vegeta till the end.
"I can't give up yet.  Mama wouldn't.  She said she would fight till the end. Vegeta would too, so I should too."
She slowly supported herself up and breathed heavily.  Looking up into the sky, she was slightly relieved to see her friends and family still alive.  
Once again, just like before, the young girl faced her hands at Ii-Shenron and released another deluge of energy.  Her friends and family couldn't believe she was okay, but to see her attack Ii again was horrendous.  
"Nion!  Stop it right now!!!"
The little girl ignored their cries, and continued to deliver the attack. She had made  a decision.  Ii was surprised.
"I thought you died.  I'll kill you this time!"
Ii sent an energy sphere, and it clashed with Nion's, but the girl tried to hang in there.  Ii's energy ball began eating up her attack until soon she found herself pushing it with her own bare hands.  Although not the strongest attack Ii has used, it was still much for her.  She tried to hang on, but the energy pushed her into the cliff side.
"You can't hold on forever!  When you can't, that thing's going to explode and take you along with it!" Ii laughed.
Nion kept getting pushed in deeper into the cliff, but not willing to give up just yet.  With all her might, she tried to push it back.  She kept trying and trying, until she felt it move back a bit, but then it moved forward again.  Nion struggled, but still wasn't going  to give up.  She began screaming, and her eyes watered.  She had to do this for her family and friends, especially her mother.  

Android 18 couldn't let Nion get hurt.  Her mother had helped her become powerful, and she had to find a way to repay her.  Android 18 gathered her strength and kicked Ii real hard.  He was launched backwards, and 18 flew towards Nion to help her.  All of a sudden she felt it.  It made her pause in midair.  Gokun, G and Kaioshin called to her.
"18?  What's the matter?!"
No reply.
Ii was outraged.  He returned and was about to hit Android 18, but she just hovered there.
"Something is happening." she murmured.

Nion continued to yell at the top of her lungs.  She had to find the strength to help everyone.  Her hands were growing tired, but her will remained.  Keep pushing, you can do it Nion!
Then it happened.  She felt a wall of power crumble inside her, and a pool of energy flooded, releasing power she had never felt existed inside her.  It was wonderful.  Her eyes opened and she welcomed the new found strength, but it wasn't normal.  No, not for her.  It was too great for her, and it overwhelmed.  Her hands, arms, legs and body bulked a little, and her body was straining from the increase.  Trying to keep it inside was impossible.  The energy was too great and it exerted through her skin, creating an aura.  Her hair stood up, coloured golden blonde, and finally her eyes turned green.  She cried out, and the aura grew stronger, enough for her to burst Ii's energy ball into smithereens.   
They all watched in amazement at Nion.  Was it possible?  Could it be?
